Our first year engineering students (Bac+3) took part in the career conferences held on 26 February. 7 companies took part, covering all the topics taught in the Télécom Saint-Etienne engineering course : Image and Vision (IFPEN), Photonics (Minalogic), Electronics, Networks, Security and Systems (Sick and Cap Gemini), Telecoms (SNEF), Digital (Sopra Steria), and Software Integration (Esker).
In order to comply with the health measures currently in place, the professional conferences were held remotely, by video-conference. This virtual format enabled a larger number of students to follow the conferences simultaneously than in person.
These fascinating conferences and lectures were very popular with the students, who interacted a lot with the speakers. In addition, some industrialists offered students Personal Initiative Internships, which could be carried out in the second year.
