12 students from Télécom Saint-Etienne took part in the 17th edition of “BattleDev”, the biggest programming competition in France.
Nearly 5,000 student developers from 125 schools in France competed against each other from 8 pm to 10 pm on Thursday 3 June, based on challenging algorithmic questions. The objective was to solve as quickly as possible the 6 programming exercises proposed and to pass the associated unit tests, in the language of their choice, among the 12 possible: Python, C, C++, C#, Java, Php, Go, Kotlin, Swift, NodeJs, Scala and Ruby.
Our students were able to solve a scenario on the theme of space. Playing the role of Tommy Pasqua, the most famous astronaut, “you will take off on the most ambitious mission in history: you will travel outside our solar system to collect precious resources on exoplanets, but the path is long and perilous.
Highly motivated and intensely focused, they came 17th in the school ranking.
