Every year, Télécom Saint-Étienne organizes mock job interview workshops for 3rd-year engineering students (Bac+5).
These workshops are part of a comprehensive, graded module (theory, practice and debriefing), designed to support our students in their search for internships and, more generally, to promote their professional integration.
The idea is to immerse students in the real-life conditions of a job interview, in front of a panel made up of a teacher and a company recruitment officer.
Workshop organization
Each pair of students has one hour, divided into several stages:
- Installation, reading of CV by jury (1 or 2 min)
- Interview (15-20 min)
- Debriefing (10 min)
Interviews are based on an internship offer submitted by the student.

For the students, these workshops were an opportunity to receive direct feedback on their speeches, CVs and cover letters, in order to improve their performance at future interviews.
For the companies, it was an opportunity to share their recruitment expertise, while starting to spot interesting profiles.
